Wow, what a great forum!!!

This is my first post and have a quick question.

I am gonna buy one of these two cams: Z650or P850.

I am kind of more exited about the 850 one, but still hasitating. Which one is better?

The 850 has more options and the stabilization. The 650 is cheapper and has 6.1 Mp (the other 5.1, is that a big difference 6.1 vs 5.1?)

thanx for any input...

It is hard to consider $10 price difference a deciding factor for a long term purchase like that. The P850 is a bargain IMO. With optical stabilization you will get much more consistent telephoto shots and better available light shots at wider angles. For $30 you can buy a decent bounce flash attachment that will improve your flash photography considerably. The viewfinder quality on an EVF camera is important and the P850 has a better one.

1Mp isn't going to make much difference in your output unless you crop a lot or want very large prints. 5Mp will make a very good 11 X 14 print.
