I know this isn't a camera but I want to be able to view my pictures when Im out hiking on a larger screen so that I can really see my pictures and what smaller changes I need to make to make the photo perfect. I really want the iPad but I don't have the money to get it right now so I was thinking of going with one of those off brand tablets for a quarter of the price. Bestbuy has the Huawei Ideos S7 tablet for $299 but theres no USB hookup on it so I don't see how I could use that one. Does anyone know of a good tablet out there that I can quickly use to view pictures maybe might be good for a few other things?

I don't have a suggestion for you but I've been thinking the same thing... I do know
that a lot of companys are starting to get on the "Tablet" bandwagon so this coming year we should see many low priced options... I, like you, would want/need USB so I could use a card reader, unless of course it already came with a built in multi card reader... I'd also like a non-glare type screen so it's easier to see in bright sunlight and I want it small enough (between 8-10 inches max on the longest side) so it fits in my camera bag... Be nice if it also had a case that would clip to your belt to make it easier to bring with you in the field, and a car charger/adapter to keep it charged when on extended use away from home... I wouldn't mind large internal storage as well, or even the ability to connect an external HDD or thumb drive (maybe a second USB), so I could backup my images from the cameras memory card... Maybe even able to run some version of W7 for the OS so I could use the picture viewer...? And all for $299 USD... ![]() Guess I don't want much, aye...? ![]() |

I found this for the iPad.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4CgABZVNjU could I do the same thing for the Archos 7 Android? btw, its $240 and has a USB. The only problem I may have is that in that youtube video they were using an apple app called "Shuttersnitch". I don't think/know that the Archos can use apple apps. I think it can only use the Android app line. Anyway is there an Android app out there that works like Shuttersnitch or would alow me to wirelessly upload my photos like in the video?

I use my GPS for this. The Garmin Nuvi 255w has a card slot and it has
a 4.3" wide screen. On sale now in all the familiar places on the web for $109.00 us. Keeps you from getting lost as well!! |

My camera already has a 3 inch screen... 4.3 inches isn't really a great
improvement... ![]() |
