Hello,
i'm looking for a new camera. My old one is slow and eats batterys ike a fat cat. What im looking for: - Price: Up to 500 dollar - Compact style (or ultra compact - doesn't matter) - Very good image quality (has not to be excellent) - Very good low light performance (for taking pics without flash) - Excellent battery lifetime - Fast shutter speed - Overall good perfomance Any suggestions? I've read some reviews. Camera i like was the Lumix DMC-FX700 But i think you got some more suggestions for me. Thank you! Last edited by IcedEarth; Sep 29, 2010 at 7:40 AM. |

Thank you!
![]() I've compared the cameras you listed and two of them i like most: - Canon S95 - Panasonic LX5 The FX700 is out - image quality is not good enough. So i have to decide between S95 and LX5. Any suggestions about these two cameras? |

you can increase low light ability of the lx5 with a hotshoe flash with ttl. But next to that they are both excellent low light cameras for none flash work.

i agree, you can't go wrong either way.
the lx5 gives you a hotshoe and accessory port, but is larger and has clip on lenscap. s95 is smaller and retractable auto lens cap.
