I think the Sanyo Xacti series my dad has is pretty cool, but to gauge the specifics, I've only had 2 Kodak digital cameras in the past - both awful.

Here's what I'm looking for:

3" Screen
Under 500$ CA
5 MP and up
Possibly up to an ISO of 1600
Awide-angle option
A good camera for "shoot & print" (ie. Good redeye filter!)
Excellent nighttime photo ability
Video option (with sound recording) to last longer than 2mins. with correct memory card.
Possible 1GB of storage built in
Maybe Bluetooth capability?

Primarily used for taking shots of a 4 yr old daughter and my travels abroad. She's four so you imagine what kind of shots I'd be taking - she's active.

Also, I don't use photoshop, so shoot and print is pretty important.

Any questions/help appreciated!

I'm not sure you're going to meet all of those requirements. There are few 3" screens, and few real wide angle cameras, and I'm not sure if any have both. And I don't think any have much built in storage. You really need to use a memory card.

But the new, not yet shipping, Fuji S6000fd, might be what comes closest. It doesn't have a 3" screen, but has a high resolution, 235,000 pixel 2.5" screen, and has a 28mm lens at the wide angle. And it uses the only small sensor currently on the market that would give you acceptable quality at ISO 1600.
