I recently broke my Canon SD500 7.1 MP with 3X zoom. :( very sad day.

I am looking to replace it. Im lookin for something around the same size since i carry it around with me every day. Never know when your going to need to snap a shot.

Photos are taken inside as well as outside, low light and bright light. Snappin it at the bar or at the zoo...

I basically do a lot of point and shot pictures. I also take a lot of movies with it so i need it to be able to take movies with sound.

Nice zoom

What would be my best option. I do like the canon line up cause i have had one but am open to other options.

Thanks

Joseph

Joseph-

The Canon SD-550 is still available and at a reasonable cost. That would most probably be the best replacement for your much loved SD-500.

Why would i go for the SD550 vs one of the newer ones like the SD700 is, SD630 or any other? Would it be just because its a lot like the SD500 but with a bigger screen

Thanks
Joseph

Joseph-

That was my thought, it would be kind of a real (same kind of) replacement camera. But the choice is entirely you. A wide open field awaits you.
