I am looking to replace a now deceased pentax optio s4 that I really enjoyed. I am looking at the pentax a 30 as a newer, better model of what I had, with the added advantage of using the same battery I already have.

In its current price range $189 it seems like the other best option for a pocket-sized camera is the panasonic lumix fs5.

Does anyone have experience with these cameras and have an opinion one way or the other for a quality pocket-sized camera? Should I be considering something else?

I live in sunny Florida where it seems nearly impossible to see the LCD screen during the day. Is the FS5 screen fairly easy to see in the sun? Or should I be looking at the Sony and Canon models that still have a viewfinder?
