Hi All,
New to the forum. Thanks for all the great reviews. I just purchased the KM 5D. I was originally looking at the KM 7D, Nikon 70, and Canon EOS20D. I currently own a Maxxum 7000i and lost a P&S DimageF300 (fell out of my van). I originally loved the feel of the 7D, but thought it was a bit pricey, so I waited. Upon recommendation of the camera store (Wolf), I purchased the 5D. After using it, I find it akward compared to the 7D. My main direction is a camera for my indoor remodeling work. I prefer a wide angle lense (maybe the AF 17-35) for the small bathrooms etc. I do also love NASCAR, so the addition of a good zoom would be a bonus. I'm thinking of exchanging to the 7D for the comfort factor. Is this overkill (which I'm very good at), or would this be a good long term investment like the 7000i? John |

The KM 5D has a better record for reliability than the KM 7D.

Is it incorrect to presume that the firmware upgrade is addressing most of those issues?
I don't even think it's fair to compare the 5D with the 7D, is it? John |

I have not read that the firmware updates have addressed ALL of the issues on the KM 7D, just some of them.

My friend (a Nikon fanatic) is begging me to just get the D70.
