Thanks all. I passed everything to him and he has decided for a few reasons to stick with the original thought and will get the SX20. One of the main reasons was that it took AA batteries and also he can pinch my flash guns for extra power.

That seem like a very reasonable decision. It is great to be able to barrow equipment. I wish him lots of luck with his new Canon SX-20 camera.
