Hi all. I have an Olympus C-770 which I find is a great camera.
But I am looking for a smallish camera, not much bigger than my Olympus, which has minimum 10x optical, min 4mp and Image stabilisation (optical would be good), sound with vid recording also. Its been a while since I bought it, so I wonder if you can fill me in with any cameras that might suit. I have been looking at the Panasonic FZ-5 in reviews, but not sure how much bigger it is to my Olympus. Your thoughts much appreciated. |

The FZ5 or its replacment FZ7 would be ideal, although the FZ7 is a wee bit larger and the LCD resolution is not as good as the 5's. The FZ5 is pretty small indeed and meets all of the criteria - 5MP, 12x Opitcal, IS, Video+sound - the only real minus is the lack of a hot shoe. Its has some very good reviews from all of the sites so I don;t think you can go wrong at all if you get the FZ5.
The URL below shows you how small teh FZ5 really is compared to the FZ20 --I have an FZ10 which is identical in size to '20. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/Pana...comparedto.jpg Cheers HarjTT : o )> :| |
