You are concerned about outdoor colors. Here is a sunset taken with the Kodak Z-1012 camera. Sarah Joyce |

I have the FZ28 after owning the Olympus SP550 and SP560. I also have a Pentax K200D. I think the FZ28 is a better camera than either of the Olympus cameras. It focuses faster, has a shorter shutter lag and a better burst mode. It's also slightly better in low light.
The Kodak superzooms are cheaper (slightly) and have a reputation for being easy to use. For awhile the FZ28 was on sale for $240 online. Even now you should be able to get it from a reputable etailer for less than $275. Actually, I just checked - bhphotovideohas it with an instant rebate for $259. The one caveat I have is that despite its fast burst mode, the FZ28 can't compete with a DSLR and a good telephoto lens for taking pictures of sports competitions. I used the FZ28 and K200D at different evening college football games and the K200D was the clear winner. |

B&H Photo Video is owned, run and staffed by Orthodox Jews. They close and even stop taking on-line orders at sundown.
