If you want a Zeiss lens, then you need to get a Sony camera, if I'm not mistaken. If you want 10X zoom, then the SOny H1 is the only one that fits that. It costs over $400 though.

If you want to use xD memory, then you need to get a Fuji or an Olympus. If you want 10X zoom, then your Fuji of choice would be the S5200/S5600 (or the older S5000 or S5100) and the Olympus would be the SP-500 (or the older C-740, C-755, C-765, and C-770). Both the SP-500 and the S5200/S5600 cost a little over $300 in the US, and the older cameras mentioned in parentheses cost less but are harder to find.

For just a little more money (around $350), you could get a Panasonic FZ5, which has an exceptionally fast and sharp Leica lens and 12x zoom, stabilized. Minolta's Z-series cameras, and the Kodak P850, have similar prices and similar features. So if you could raise your budget to $350, then you could get a really great camera. (Or you could try and find a Panasonic FZ3 or a Minolta Z3 or Z5, which are a little older but also have a lot of zoom and image stabilization for a low price).
