Hello, I have never owned a digital camera and am looking to purchase my first one . The things I am looking for in a camera is a price range up to $250 and the features I needed would be good zoom since I want it for twograduation ceremonies that are coming up and would like to get good photos not knowing where I will be seating. Also looking for a decent short movie mode camera for same and kids soccer games also. Was thinking of Kodak Z7590, but missed out on the $219 sale price last week at comp.usa.Thanks for any help you can offer.

The Kodak Z-7590, the Z740, and the Z760 fill that bill. The Z-760 at 6mp exceeds your budget slightly. Anything else costs more.

You didn't say if the $250 is your total budget or just for the camera (you'll need larger memory cards, extra batteries, maybe an editing program, etc).
I've often found great deals on last years camera models here: http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2....2&STL_ID=6 |
