Hello Everyone,
I have a dilemma, I have finally decided to get into amateur filming. I need a camera, I have decided on flash memory for several reasons. I don't want to spend a lot seeing as how I am just starting out. Somewhere in the one to five hundred region. Who here can give me a heads up on some good choices? |

Can I assume you'll be capturing the footage for editing as well ?
If so the application / software you use for editing , will have a list of compatible cameras for video capturing. |

Take a look at... http://www.wrexcam.com/camcorder.htm ;
...which explains the current issues about what options you could take, quite well. I have a DVC camcorder myself, from which I can write direct to DVD, editing (to cut out the rubbish) as I go. This is wonderful for family movies, like the olden days, if you have an ordinary TV. If you want HD, you need to ask again. Last edited by Alan T; May 25, 2009 at 9:43 AM. |

Yes, It will be used for editing too. Just to start off, I might just use windows video editor.
Alan T thanks for the heads up on the site, that does help... Its just so hard to fish through the garbage because I want a good quality, something I could show off online hopefully. So I want it to be good enough for me but also good enough for you tube you know what I saying? |
