My apologies for a double post. I did not see which group I was posting to and realized after that it should be in this forum

I do a lot of saltwater fishing and I am looking for a moderatley priced camera.

I am considering the Nikon D70S versus teh Canon Digital Rebel xt. Does anyone have any thoughts about which choice might be better. The Canon is a little cheaper.

One of the things I would like to do is photograph fish on the shallow flats. I know I need a polaroid lens for this but I am wondering whether even with good direct sun whether I would have any success taking a picture through the water.

I conduct both dSLR and Digital Camera Workshops, thus I own a number of dSLR cameras that I use to demonstrate in the workshops. Frankly, though I own the Canon 350/XT, I rerally don't like the grip or the viewfinder. The Nikon D-70 is a much better choice.

By all meean physically handle these cameras and really make a determination about how they feel in hand and when taking photos.
