The S100 will have better IQ than the SX240/260- but it will barely be noticeable at usual print/viewing size. It will also yield better images in low light due to its fast f/2.0 lens (albeit only at wide-angle)- but again,we're only talking small margins here- and by high zoom compact standards,the SX240/60 acquits itself very well in a variety of situations- and if you want a decent zoom- then I guess there's only one option here..!

For Rs 25,000 better go for Panasonic Fz-150 from www.letsbuy.com (costs 23K) ...
