What do you guys think. I have my eyes set on a Panasonic DMC FZ5, but in this price range I have noticed that it is possible to purchase used digital slr's like Canon's groundbreaking D30 (body only, which is ok as it takes ef lenses which I already have ). I know that the early D30 is a 3 megapixel camera and the Panasonic is 5mp, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the Canon may be the better option. What do you think?
Any advice would be appreciated. |

Since you already have lenses, you have little to lose in trying the D30. Look for a good deal and simply resell it if you find it isn't what you want. You should be aware that a day of lugging the D30 and lenses around is going to be a much different experience than a day with the FZ5 hanging from your neck.
