I'm totally new to photography, and am looking for a good quality-for-price digital camera in the range of 300-400 $.
Currently I'm kind of looking in the direction of Olympus stylus (or mju in Europe) 800 camera. Read some articles that it lacks noise reduction and adds those strange looking 'artefacts' and is slow on writing on xD card. Apart from that and not so user friendly interface other comments were only positive. Could anyone advise whether this cam is a good choice and perhaps what are other decent alternatives in the marketplace. Main reason - my gf is very fond of photos, and mostly those would be portraits then ;-) Wish you all a nice day ![]() Regards, Rinald |

Rinald-
Why not take a look at the very highly rated Canon A-610/A-620 twins, if size is not an issue. MT |
