P&S with fast flash recycling

Hi - I am looking for a P&S (preferably with 10x zoom or better) which has a fast flash recycle. I have tried a number of smaller cameras, but find that they recycle so slowly I never get the right photo. I had a Kodak Easyshare Z650 I loved, but it is long gone. Price - no more than $400. Size - smaller is better, but am will to have a camera the same size as the Z650. Key is the flash.

Thanks so much!!

Welcome to the Forum. We're pleased you dropped by.

The recycle time of any built-in flash is dependent on the batteries powering the camera. Those cameras that are powered by AA batteries, tend to have a slower re-cycle time.

Take a look at the Kodak Z-950 which uses a lithium ion battery. It has 10X optical zoom and features HD video, while also meeting your size requirements, and selling for around $150 to $160.

Once thing to keep in mind about the Kodak super zoom cameras is that their lenses usually start at 35mm+, which is not wide enough for indoor and landscape photography. Most cameras these days have much wider lenses (28mm and wider). Other than that, they seem to be a decent value for the money.
