HEY, I'M NEW TO CAMERAS AND THIS FORUM AND WANTED TO GET AN OPINION ON TWO KODAK CAMERAS. THE P850 AND THE Z740.STEVE RATED BOTH GOOD FOR THE PRICE. I HAVE FOUND THEM FOR225-275.IS THE P850 WORTH $60-$80 MORE OR ARE THEY BOTH JUNK.IT'S FOR MY WIFE SHE HAS HAD SEVERAL SONY CAMERAS AND THEY DON'T SEEM TO HOLD UP. I DON'T HAVE A GRAND TO SPEND AND SHE LIKES THE SLR TYP CAMERAS. SHOULD I KEEP LOOKING OR BUY ONE OF THESE. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT.

Get her the canon s2/s3. Look and work like a slr. I had the kodak p850 and exchanged it for the s2. World of difference. Good luck

P850 is Definitely better from these two Kodaks, stabilization helps considerably in tele end.
But for what kind photography camera would be used? zip37602 wrote: Quote:

I guess I'm a little late since they are about to close and it ends today. But Staples has the P850 for $299 with a 512Mb card and a free photo printer by mail. You might have time down in big D as the sun hasn't passed you yet.
The deal will likely come up again. Check the Sunday paper or salescircular.com. Yes I think the P850 is worth the extra price. |
