I'm a beginner in digital photography. But since I'm going spend considerably large sum of money on one, I hope to get one which has an edge over the others.

Thus I narrowed down to these 2 cameras.

FX-8 offer Image Stabilisation which is essential in low light condition. This feature is offered in T-9 but not T-5. (T-9 is at least SGD200 more than T-5).

Accessories cost aside (memory, battery etc), I'd like to know what is your opinion and which camera would u get if you have a choice between these 2 cameras.

I would love to hear all your views and comments.

IMHO, the FX8/9 are the "best in class" (excluding the larger Canon SD500/550). I'm very happy with mine and the O.I.S. really works ! Great for Indoor Photos and Macro Shots. I just checked - butterflyphoto.com has it for ~$225 - a true bargain!
