I have read both reviews and find very little diferences between the FZ30 and the FZ7. Mostly 6 meg vs 8 meg. Both reviews so they are both nosiy above iso 200. Why would I chosse the FZ30 for an addtional $200?
Any help here in sorting this out Jack |

I'm no expert, but I believe that the FZ30 has more manual settings than the FZ7. For example, manual focus and zoom on the lens barrel, which a lot of slr-type users prefer. The FZ30 is also quite a bit larger and heavier. As you may have noticed, the FZ7 is also a lot cheaper (by about $200?). I have seen good reviews here for both cams, but I have also seen the comments regarding noise.
Read the reviews here at Steves and other sites. You can find a wealth of info. Also try Panasonic website for the differences between the two. After some research, I was considering the FZ7, but I ended up with the Canon S2 and am very happy with it so far. |
