I'm looking at getting a camera for general snapshot use. The pictures will mostly not be printed, only shared online. I'm looking two models, based on price and features. Here are the factors for each one:

LZ3 - 6x zoom and OIS, both big pluses, and the main factor in looking at this camera. Good macro capability. ISO 1600. However, images are noisy and quite a bit of chromatic aberration is noticeable.

A530 - Somewhat better image quality. Speedier shot-to-shot time. More manual controls. Manual controls easier to access.

I'm having a very hard time deciding. The pull of an image-stabilized lens is strong, but I'm not so sure how happy I'll be with the overall image quality. Anyone have any advice?
