I need some further help with determining differences in the Panasonic Z3 and Z20. Obviously the hot shoe is an issue. I take LOTS of indoor pics, some close (portrait, fun shots) and many zoom.Lots ofoutdoor close/zoom pics as well. Ineed to capture action in all kinds of light.Looking fora very versatile camera thatis capable offast action low-light shots. Want to stay within the price ranges of these two. Obviously if the Z3 is comparablefor what I need,I would prefer to spend less. I sincerely appreciate any advice, esp. from anyknowledgeable personwho has had or used both cameras. Since I travel to many events, size may be important. Also, I have read about auto focus and zoom extensionspeeds..these could be very important if there is a significant difference. Many thanks!

the Fz3 has no manual focus at ALL! the Fz20 has manual focus and a manual focus ring at that! Obviously more MP which will help you out a tiny bit more with cropping.
The rest depends on if size matters?? The fz20 is bigger but if you don't mind, get it over the fz3. |

Here is a side by side comparison...
I guess the big differences are... * manual focus (as mentioned above) * flash hot-shoe * more megapixels * larger LCD |

Oops! I am sorry, the FZ3 FAQs compare only the FZ1/2 against FZ3.
You may try the compare camera exercise available with DP Review or go to the Panasonic site itself, wherealso they makecomparison betweentheir models. |
