Default Pentax K5 or Nikon D700??? Help!!!

Which camera would you buy? I know it is kind of comparing apples to oranges since one is full frame and one is not. If that DxO testing means anything which I am not too familar with the K5 beats out all cameras and ties the Nikon DS3. I realize there is more flexibility with Nikon since more lenses and better flash system are available versus Pentax. I am just not sure which is the better option.

The things I will be shooting would be...

Indoor - weddings, parties, church events
Outdoor - zoo, vacation trips, parades, sports

Thank for your help and any insight is greatly appreciated.

if price is an issue the k5 is quite abit cheaper - if autofocus tracking is an issue then the d700 is better - if reach is an issue then there are 2 ways to look at it - 1.5x crop on k5 so get more bang for your focal length but nikon has a better range of long lenses however to get comparible focal lengths in full frame they are EXPENSIVE

i think both cameras serve well for iso performance - but weddings well nikon flash system is reputed to be the best and though peopl tend to say pttl is ok these days not really done enough flash photography to comment

if dynamic range is an issue then the k5 seems to win - if small light weight package is more desireable then again k5 is obvious choice by the same token if you have big hands etc the d700 might be more for you

really its very dependant on your specific wants and the size of your wallet

Wedding go with FF frame camera. The DXO is just the sensor and raw. The things you will need to shoot great wedding shots is Flash photography, and nikon's i-ttl is the best on the market. Pentax p-ttl is not as good.
Super Frequent Flyer, no joke. Ex Patriot and loving it.
