Hi,
I'm looking for some advice on buying a point and click automatic camera for my partner. Typically we use the camera to capture photos of the kids and we've currently got a Nikon 4600 which she absolutely hates as the camera is really slow to power on and react shot-to-shot, especially in low light situations or even just indoors (I cant fault it outside) To make things worse, we had a Fuji A403 that performed really well for what it was, butunfortunately my partner now believes Fuji is the brand to buy after my poor Nikon selection. So, the criteria for selection is as follows;

Of the 3 you listed, the F20 is the best. Also consider the F30 and/or F31, which adds Face Detection. Don't know what the prices are like in your area.

Thanks for that.
Im assuming you've singled out the F20, F30/31 due to its low light capability. Price-wise, I can get an F30 under budget, although I was concerned it was too techie for my partner |

Not only do they blow away the competition in the available light arena, you'll find they are also a bit faster than the 4600. Startup times on the F30 are about half, and pre-focused shutter lag about 1/4 that of the 4600. Flash recycle times are about 1/3. Shot to shot times won't be all that different, hoswever.

The Fuji cameras are rather amazing. Take a look at the Fuji Cameras Folder.
