Although I have a couple of DSLRs, I use my Canon G10 for bicycle touring as it fits into my handlebar bag easily. It has a scratch on the lens and needs to be replaced but there are so many choices that I am confused. I like the fact that the G10 shoots jpeg and RAW, and that it can be used in manual mode, and I would like these same features in a new camera.
I'm not particularly interested in video, so good video quality is not a requirement. Something that is fairly rugged would be nice, and I like the size of the G10 as it is big enough to hold onto while wearing gloves, although I probably could learn to deal with something smaller if necessary. Any suggestions? |

Those in a similar mould- Canon's own G12,G15 or G1X or Nikon's P7100 or the Latest P7700- the Nikon variants offering you a bit more zoom than the Canon's- with a useful 28-200mm.
Something smaller..? Canon's S100 or the S110... ![]() |
