Why are Canon EF-S lenses so low end, unprofessional and inacurate in a DSLR ?
Why do Sigma or Tamron offer better alternative for the EF-S mount ?
This is weird. Don't you think so ?

Canon will in a couple of years abandon 1.6x APS format for any of its DSLR.
All will be full frame !!!
The first step begins at the end of this summer.

Canon 5D (for sure) sold around 4000 dollars (3500 euros) will be a full frame 13Mpix CMos sensor version of the 20D. The 3D (not sure) may replace the 1D Mark II with same 13Mpix sensor but enhanced features, more alike the 1 Ds Mark II with a price in between. There are rumors of 2D and 6D without really knowing if those are different names for the same models or different models.
The Canon 5D will be anounced officially by Canon at the end of August 2005 and sold around October worldwide.

This will be a huge problem for CCD sensor technology DSLR of competition since CMos costs a lot less to produce and seems better suited ! The gap is getting bigger and bigger between Canon and competition. Many will have to go for new 4:3 1 inch CCD sensor trans standard to keep some market share for cheaper DSLR.

Now this means you shouldn't invest in high end EF-S or wide angle for such purpose in the near future.
