Lost my SD 700IS, and am in the market for a new camera. Looking at these three cameras, SD 850IS, or SD 950IS, or TZ3. I will have to buy a new camera preaty soon. I need help sorting out which will give me better image quality, and more options. Let me know the reason for your opinions.

I think the first decision that has to be made is this: do you want 3X optical zoom or 10X optical zoom, that even includes a 28mm wide angle and a nice 16:9 format? With that desision taken then we can then compare the two Canon SD models.

There is indeed a very large following of TZ-3 users who love their very compact, pocketable, ultrazoom Panasonic TZ-3. I have attached a nice TZ-3 macro, just another of the TZ-3's fine features.
