Their maximum range is around 6 to 8 feet, depending on how much optical zoom you're using. So, you'll need to be very close to your subject. If this is not a problem (short flash range), then they may work fine for you. All of the T series models are better for outdoor versus indoor use (but the same thing applies to many other subcompact cameras, too). |

Samit: You should check out the Olympus C5500. It is also 5 MP, but with a 5x zoom, a viewfinder as well as LCD, AA batteries, a much stronger flash than the Sony, and it is priced less than the Sony.

samit,
You seem to be expecting a lot from a pocket camera. I'd like to have a camera the size of a credit card that performs like a DSLR, but I don't think anyone has made one yet. I'm assuming you're restricting yourself to a pocket cam, since you were interested in the T5 and T7, and disinterested in the C5500 due to its size. I'm not sure if any existing pocket cam meets all of your criteria. However, the new Fuji Z2, which is due to be released in November, might cover just about everything except "good" zoom. I'm not sure what you consider "good", but the Z2 only has a 3X...is that good? If you need more than that, forget my suggestion. http://www.steves-digicams.com/diginews.html#z2 the Hun |
