Hi!
I would like to buy my first Digicam (for holidays, High School Year in America). Surfing the internet, I found these two Digicams (look at Topic). They are supposed to be very good for their price range (less than 200Euro) and I don't want to spend more money on my first digicam. I would be great if you could write something about your experiences with these cams, in order to help me with my decision. If you know a better cam which doesn't cost more than 200 Euro it would be great if you could tell me. The criteria which are important to me are the quality of the pictures, duration of the battery, and the price of the memory cards... Thanks for Comments in advance, Christoph P.S. I apologize for bad English, I'm German |

Guten Morgen Christoph. Ich spreche nur ein bischen Deutsche.
You can get good results with both cameras. I have had 2 Canon's and both have been excellent. My fiance has a Sony Cybershot DSC-S40 and enjoys it also. The Canon has a greater zoom (4x) than the Sony, and also uses cheaper and more universal SD media. The Sony may have better ISO performance - according to the review here, ISO 400 is quite usable (not too much noise), whereas on my Canon A620 I consider 200 the limit. I think you will be OK with either camera! :G |
