hi its my first post in this forum .

igot a new camera sony w-300 but i want to replace it by

a more advanced camera ( semi pro ... )

Is H-50 a good choice for someone thatwants togo to the next level ?

Hi and welcome to Steve's,

I guess the most important thing to find out is what the W-300 will not do that you want to be able to do. Without knowing that then there is no way of telling if the H-50 will do the trick.

If you really want to learn creative photography then the larger sensor of a dSLR is the only real way, if you are just looking for more zoom, better AF speed, continuous shooting etc than the H-50 or some of the other superzooms from Pentax or Canon might do the job.
