FX01--> noisy high ISO levels but has OIS, 6 mp, and 28 mm lense, very compact ($287)
But here's a pic from the FX01 in low light that looks pretty good: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...ssage=18229192 W100--> no OIS, lense starts at 38 mm but low noise to ISO400 and larger 1/1.8 sensor ($331) look at the ISO test pics (scroll down): http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/so...ew/index.shtml This will be our everyday cam of taking pics of the kids around the house plus on trips, hiking trails and to the beach. Need something compact, fast but good enough to get quality enlargements if need be (at least 12x14). BTW, don't want the SD700 IS for a few reasons; plus it's too pricey. |
