My workplace needs a cheap (i.e. $100US or less) digital camera that can be used to take photos of cash register receipts.
The needs are simply: 1) be able to focus enough to take macro shots of the reciept and be able to read what is printed on it 2) be $100 or less 3) have flash so that blur does not occur (no $100 camera will have high iso or IS for sure) Everything else isn't improtant, I don't need any zoom, don't need any more resolution than needed to read the print from a sales reciept, don't need many features. Any suggestions? here on Steves's or dpreview.com or imaging-resource.com I can't find any reviews of these dirt cheap cameras such as the Kodak C300, mustek cameras, etc. Does anyone know which ones do well enough for the criteria set out above? Thanks. |

I have looked into portable scanners but for our needs they aren't cost effective (not to mention battery, storage, time, and use limintations). |
