First post, been reading a lot. What a great source of information and group of helpful and interesting people!
Well, I'm looking to purchase a Canon 3s Is soon, and I'm wondering where I should buy it and should I get a extended warranty. I usually don't go for those things, especially with the horror stories I've heard from people trying to get service (particularly from big box stores). I'm upgrading from a Canon A80, and never had any trouble. So why am I even thinking about it? I've probably already answered my own question, but any input/experiences would be great! The price seems little different online or from local stores. I'd prefer to support a local camera shop, so I'm leaning that way... |

Extended warrantiesare a source of huge profits for the retailers and the warranty companies. I personally to not purchase them. MT/Sarah |
