After reading consumer reports and narrowing my field down to 2 cameras....I decided to come here to see if I can get some further information or imput! So any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm trying to decide between The Kodak EasyShare CX7430 and The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70.

What are your thoughts? I was looking at a 3rd camera which was the Pentax Option S40, but after reading the battery life is 95 shots..compaired to Kodaks 520 shots...I crossed it off my list.

Once again....any help would be appreciated! Thanks all!

If it were me, and given the choice of only those two cameras, I would take the panasonic. Both are probably fine cameras but the panasonic gives you slightly wider range of shutter speeds and also gives a 50 ISO, where the kodak stops at 80 (lower end). I have the Panasonic FZ20 and I keep the ISO at 80, it's lower limit, to help keep noise down. Lastly, the panasonic has a faster lens.

My 1.5 cents
