I had 3 or 4 different digital cameras and certain things have become important to me at different times. Right now my thing is to carry the camera with me at all times. To do this I need an ultra compact. I love the size of the Canon SD450. My two complaints with it is the low ISO rating and the fact that it won't allow the date imprinted on the image. The real killer is the ISO rating.

I have found several good cameras that would work, but they don't have a viewfiinder. This is also a must have. I just can't see those screens in the bright sunlight.

I would love to hear your ideas on a possible camera. Thanks, James

The only cameras that will give you a really acceptable ISO 800 in a small camera are the Fuji F20 and F30, which lack the optical viewfinder.

Otherwise, the Canons really aren't bad for a camera that size, but the Sony's are a bit better. One of the Sony W50, W70 or W100 might be best . Those at least give you a good ISO 400, and might be OK for small prints at ISO 800.
