I wonder if you can help me: I need a ultracompact digital camera for taking with me on marathon runs. Im looking at T-9, T-7, Casio S500 and Casio Z750... the Canons in this class are not available in Denmark, where I live. Which camera should I choose ? (Or should I wait for new upcoming models in the near future ?).

Intending to have little sightseeing while at it? :-)
Maybe these can help in finding shops. http://dk.kelkoo.com/ http://dk.pricerunner.com/ |

Thanks..but I what I was really asking is: WHICH of them should I go for. Once that is settled, Im sure I'll find a good price..and your links may come in handy, right.
So, please camera experts...get your guns out and let me know ![]() PS: Reading other posts, the 'lens error' stuff with Z750 is perhaps worrying especially durings sports...does anyone know if this is also a problem with the S500. PPS: The camera should be good overall - not only for sports - so I can take decent family photos indoors as well. However, the marathon stuff is first priority. Thanks again, Tor ![]() |

Tor-
Take a look at the Kodak V-530, or the Pentax S5 series. MT |

Thanks..was actually reading about the V550 as we speak
![]() Editing: Found out that it is. So is it worth the extra bucks ? Still, which camera should I choose: Casio S500 or Casio Z750 or Sony T9 or Kodak V530/V550 or another one ? Damned, this is harder than my Ph.D. ![]() Tor ![]() |

Sorry but I din't have more time earlier than to just post those sites I remembered.
I think smallest possible size would be important. You'll find sizes about all digicams from here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs.asp Kodak V550 is essentially same model as 530 but it's helf cm bigger, has optical viewfinder and 32MB internal storage instead of 16MB, and little bigger (but of course same resolution LCD) http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/comp..._v550&show=all You can use that Side-by-Side comparison for comparing specs of different (more than two) cameras. Sonys use somewhat more expensive proprietary (or "poropietari" as we call it in Finnish... poropeukalo=bungler/butterfinger) Memorystick. And I'm again running out of time. Torr wrote: Quote:

Being told that there are in fact 75 (!) different packages of Pentium M processors available at this time left the rep speechless. And that's nothing compared to P4 models. |

Thanks ET, nice makeover by the way
![]() I just found out, that the Canon SD450 (eg) is the same as IXUS 55...meaning the Canon models ARE available in Denmark. This twists the whole thing again. So, I'll ask again: Which camera should I choose: Casio S500 or Casio Z750 or Sony T9 or Kodak V530/V550, a Canon (eg. SD450) or another one ? Please respond, America !! Tor ![]() |

How do you plan on using it and carrying it? While running? Stopping and pulling it out of somewhere, then putting it away before running again? And in what conditions? Some cameras can handle drizzle and such, others you should leave home.

Good questions. Yes, I plan on carrying it and taking it out if the weather permits. Luckily, most runs are in dry conditions - or at least with long periods of dry. If it rains like h***, the camera sleeps at home
![]() So, portability and durability are issues...but image quality etc. are also. Please respond back, thanks, Tor ![]() |

Torr-
For use in running, IMHO, the Kodak V-530 or V-550 should be high on your list. MT |
