Hi. I want to document some color lithographs, photogravures, engravings, and similar works of art, and store the resultant images on CD-ROM. These works might be up to 36" in width.
Which digicams would be best for this? What resolution should I aim for? Or would a large format scanner be best? Also any tips on lighting, etc., would be welcome. Thanks. |

I would advise that you let go of the scanner idea. The older Nikon 900 series did a good job with copying photos, as does the Kodak V-570. Take a look at these cameras. Here is a sample of what the Fuji S-5200 can do with copying. MT |
