I am a novice given a choice to purchase a Nikon D50 or a D70s (kit set) with the D50 cheaper byabout $150.

I am using the camera for family outings, so taking of portraits and landscap come to mind.

I have no experience with DSLR and would like to learn more about photrgraphy through this DSLR.

I have a hard timechoosing between the two. The price of D70s price has indeed dropped tremendiously and seems to be a better biuy from the price perspective. My dealer told me that the D70s len is better and from the len perspective alone it would justify buying the D70s.

I appreciate your comments and advice.
