What's your opinion about the Canon AV-1 35mm SLR? I do not own this camera, but have the opportunity to purchase it for $60. Is it worth the price? time?
Thanks! S-- |

Many years ago there was debate over aperture priority vs shutter priority. I still own the AE-1, which is shutter priority, but can be shot manually as well. The AV-1 is an aperture priority camera with no provision to shoot manually, and with no exposure compensation except by manually changing ASA settings for the particular film you are using, in order to under or over expose it to attain the level of compensation you need. Whether it is worth the money is contingent on your plans and shooting requirements. Sorry not to have been more help...
