Hi there, I'm off for a weekend break shortly and after spending my summer holiday with a friend and her gorgerous Casio Exilum S100, I've been converted to the convenience of a digicam rather than my film one, especially as I'm rather snap happy & have been known to take pictures of everything! :G

At the moment I have a Olympus Muji V camera, which wasn't expensive and have always been chuffed with the photos. When I compared my holiday photos to the ones taken by the S100 I was disappointed with the developed digital photos (both processed at the same place). The colours were a bit too bright, especially the blues, and when the zoom was used it had lost a lot of detail. The camera does have good reviews on various websites and I was ready to purchase one before I saw the photos :?

Could someone recommend an alternative digicam or am I being unrealistic wanting sharp film quality photos from a digicam? I'm a complete newbie so apologies as I don't know the limitations of these tiny cameras. My main wants are:

At least 4 MP
Zoom (not huge, maybe 3X Optical)
Budget about £200/250, would be tempted to spend more on the right one!
But more importantly image quality

Most of my pictures are travelling/landscape/scenery pictures with the odd family celebrations ie weddings, christmas etc and evenings out with friends.

Any advice would be grateful received.
