My compact Canon a80 was dropped , and is beyond repair. Now I'm looking for a replacement. I 'm looking into some compact or supercompact format, since I already have DSLR with several lenses. Something to take to a beach, pool, amusement park e.t.c.

Pentax optio Wi looks nice with its waterproof features. Does anyone has an experience with it? Is it actually possible to take pictuires during snorkling, as claimed?
What other waterproof cameras available?

Can't really answer your image quality questions but the Olympus Stylus SW series cameras are all rated for underwater use (varying depths depending on model.)

Pentax also has waterproof cameras that have received excellent reviews and user comments. The current model is the W-30 which sells for arount $(US) 240.00.
