I am looking for a camera for someone a little older, who wears progressive lenses, has a bit of arthritis in the hands. They like my old Canon Elph S230, but find it just a little too heavy, the screen a little too small, and the buttons a little too hard to read. I was looking at the Casio Exilim EX-Z57 because of its big 2.7 inch screen, and straightfoward buttons. What cameras out there are designed for the over 65 set? Is a 2.5 screen big enough? etc. Thanks for your tips.

You might consider the EX-Z500. It has quite a few new features. The 2.7 inch screen is higher resolution. It has Anti-Shake, an AF assist lamp, High Sensitivty Mode (for better low light performance), and I hear they are amazinglysqueezing even more shots out of the battery. I don't own the camera but have been reading about it. I had the EX-Z55 and liked it a lot.
