here is my shopping list:-

6-8 million pixels
prosumer digital
CMOS sensor (and yes - I know only the Sony DSC-R1 has it at the moment - but not the really super macro distance and superzoom)
1cm or closer super macro
superzoom
very low noise at 400
less than 1/10th sec shutter lag
RAW
very low chromatic abberation

hmmmm....will it be the new Lumix Fz50 (without CMOS though)

Mike-

I really don't think that the Panasonic FZ-50 will fullfill your dreams. The consumer DSLR cameras come a good deal closer to filling the bill.

The new Sony Alpha and the new Nikon DSLR camera to be introduced in August, will be using that 10+mp CMOS imager.
