No cradle is required to charge the battery on the Fuji F-10. And yes, there are all kinds of third party batteries available for the F-10 at www.ebay.com.

Thanks. I went to batteries.com and found out that you can indeed get both batteries and a charger for them. Then I went to e-bay and found beaucoup generic batteries, CHEAP! And they appear to be higher capacity than OEM. So now my question is, which are of good quality ? Any experiences in this area would be helpful. (I think I need to learn how to use the search engine here better. When I did a search I got too many 'bad' hits to really get info on just the batteries.)

In the links section on this site, there is a battery seller listed. I like the idea of sticking with the one I came with. I called them a week or so ago for a Canon battery which they did not carry(?!?!?!). However, they nicely and readily referred me to BatteryBarn.com. They had what I wanted for around $20 (more than half off say CircuitCity). No experience beyond that with them. I did buy a camcorder battery from Sterling (?) about two years ago. Didn't work and a hassle returning it. Good luck.
