I am not a professional just an novice picture taker. Can anyone suggest a good digital camera for close up shots. I do post pictures on ebay and sometimes I need very close shots of the item (like a stamp on back of china or a close up of jewelry, etc. Since my Toshiba PDR-3300 just "died" ( which was very hard to get good close-up shots with) I need a new camera. Thanks
I read further and got some good answers to question. If someone just wants to suggest a good (inexpensive) I will still take suggestion. Great forum to educate "me" thanks |

The new Canon A610 and A620 can focus less than a cm. It's actually quite amazing. One of the two would be a good camera to use.5 or 7.1MP/4x optical/2 inch vari-angle LCD/VGA video/great battery life. A610-$299 and A620-$399. As far as I know, these focus the closest on the market. Best of luck!
