I need a better camera because I shoot an entire middle school yearbook. ( I am now using a Kodak easysharedx 4530 HELP! )The school will spend around 500 dollars to help me. I am looking at the Konica Minolta Dimage A200 and the panasonic Lumix DMC FZ30 but am open to suggestions. I would like to be able to take group shots, sports shots, flash and low light and also loan the camera to someone who will use it as a point and shoot. I would like to be able to operate it somewhat manually. Please share your wisdom with me. Thanks

The Canon A610 would be a great camera for you.. Pretty simple to use.. you could take some neat panoramic shots for the yearbook and even play with custom colors.

If your willing to pay for your own memory cards, or already own SD cards, the S2IS is a very good camera. It runs on AA's, and gets 300 pictures to single use battery set, 550 pictures to aNIMH set. Takes geatpictures, and has a 35-430 12x zoom.Has the special features vwmom mentioned, too.

If you can afford it, rock on with a Konica Minolta 5D.
