Hi,
I am very confused with the different models of Canon and Sony. And I am not able to decide which camere to buy - Sony DSC H2 or Canon S2 IS / S3 IS. Please help me in selecting the best. |

Why only canon and sony? Have you looked at the Panasonic FZ series? FZ7, FZ30?

Just for what it is worth, I have owned the Panasonic, the Sony, and the Canon. If you are not going to do much low light level shooting, the Panasonic would be a good choice. IMHO the Sony and the Canon both have much lower noise signatures than the Panasonic. Your best buy would be either the Sony H-1 or the Canon S-2. Both are excellent cameras. Perhaps if you could tell us a bit more about your budget and the kind of shooting you do, we can break it down even further.

I am new to digicams and bought the Sony CybershotDSC-H1 about a month ago. I absolutely love it.
A terrific reference source for this camera can be found at: http://www.aakatz.com/h1whitepaper/ |
