Sarah,
Yes, it looks good, though a little less resolution than Canon SX210 IS. Of course, an extra zoom makes it better. I am just worried by seeing some Cons noted by users. Can i get all i wanted with this good photo and video quality, low light performance? Please reply, i will make a final decision and book one in a day or two as i will be leaving USA on July 24th. Thank you! Amruth |

Amruth-
Neither the FZ-35 or the SX-20 can produce DSLR image quality. As a FZ-35 user, I can tell you that ISO 800 is about as high as you should prudently go with the ISO setting. Yes, there will be those rare situations where you opt to use ISO 1600 because there is no other way to get the needed photo. Just know that those are the occasions when you should use noise reduction software such as noise ninja, neat image and the like. Sarah Joyce |

Sarah -
Thanks again! I am really confused whether to take a camera or camcorder to get my desired features. I have also looked at Panasonic HDC-HS250 camcorder which offers 10.6MP still photos with Full HD video capability. Not sure how i have to trade between a camera and camcorder. Can you please suggest finally where to go:

a camcorder will not take as good stills photos as a camera. A camera can take good video like a camcorder, but not for a long period of time. Seem 15 min is the max on most camera. While it seems you can record continuously on a camcorder till your memory runs out.

Ok, great, that helps me.
So, i have to go for a camera which can have more storage. I hope the cameras i have listed can extend their memory upto 32GB for a single card. Can you please suggest which camera should be my first choice (in case camcorder option is ruled out) in the one's i have listed? Also please consider Canon SX20 IS Thanks a lot! Amruth |

think it is a file format issue not a storage problem. I have a 16gb sdhc chip in my dslr and my m4/3 camera, they can hold an hour of video. But the camera stops after 15 min, and I have to restart it.

Hi All,
I am OK to have a digital camera, i can adjust with the video quality and i understand the memory is a limitation. It looks like Canon SX210 IS supports upto 32GB memory cards. What can be my final choice among the compact superzoom or bit advanced (but not DSLR) cameras? I could always see these in the list, please suggest a final one to go with.
Please reply. Thanks |

I am ready to afford ($500 - $650) a bit advanced one which may fit into my needs.
Please suggest a better one among the best. Thanks |
