Does it matter if I get a 10 mp or 12 mp? I always put it in the medium setting for emailing and the photo software I use anyway, and will never print put anything larger than 8 x 10. So does it really matter to get more MP?
I'm torn between the Canon Elph SD 1200IS and SD780IS. Love the small size of both, the 780 is slimmer, but not crazy about the colors and wonder if the controls on it are too small. I've had 2 elphs before and love them, so I definitely want one of these. Thanks for any input! |

If you print 8x10 or even 5x7, the results will be better from images shot at full resolution, though the difference between a 10MP image and a 12MP image will be minimal. For e-mailing photos, you can reduce images in almost any image editting application. the downside, of course, is that you'll need more storage space in the camera and on your computer.
